Dr. Jennifer Groehn

The owner of Highland Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Groehn, has owned and raised a wide variety of pets including cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits, horses, goats, and many more! Fulfilling her childhood dream, Dr. Groehn earned her Veterinary Degree from Michigan State University in 1985, and her Masters Degree from the University of Michigan in 1989. In her free time, Dr. Groehn enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family.


Dr. Susan Berg

Dr. Berg graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She has lived and worked in the Huron Valley area for most of her career. Dr. Berg is exceptionally skilled in surgery and internal medicine.  She also enjoys horseback riding and spending her free time with her horses and other pets, including a donkey!


Dr. Georgia Wilson

Dr. Georgia Wilson joined our team in 2011 when she and her husband were transferred from St. Louis, Missouri. She has experience with exotic pets, as well as dogs and cats! In her free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys boating, crocheting and flower gardening.


Connie W. – Veterinary Team Coordinator

Connie is our Veterinary Team Coordinator, and our official Client Relations Director.  She has been a dedicated employee at Highland Veterinary Hospital since 2005. Connie resides in Waterford with her three lovely children. She treats our clients and their pets like family, as they often refer to her as “Aunt Connie”!


Amanda B. – Licensed Veterinary Technician

Amanda has her Bachelor degree in marketing at MSU and Associates at Baker for Veterinary Technician.
In her free time, she enjoys running, working out, playing the piano and baking.
Amanda also enjoys spending time with her Husband, Chris and their son, Henry; along with their dog, Forkoon, and their cat, Sir Waffle Iron.


Amanda H. – Licensed Veterinary Technician

Amanda is truly passionate about caring for animals. She has been a valuable member of the Highland Veterinary Staff since 2010. She graduated from Macomb Community College in June of 2013 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her love for animals does not stop here, as she and her husband, Mike, have their own fur babies, Max and Penny, at home!


Cortney V. – Veterinary Technician, Receptionist, and Assistant

Veterinary Technician, Receptionist and Vet Assistant.
Cortney has received her certificate in Veterinary Assisting from Animal Behavior College, and has been a part of our team here at HVH since early 2016. Out of work, Cortney enjoys various outdoor activities such as fishing, disc golfing and spending time with her new husband, John, stepson, and their pup, Krypto.


(Amanda) Morgan – Veterinary Assistant, Kennel Assistant


Morgan joined our team in 2017 and is currently studying and training to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster. She has traveled abroad and worked in Thailand with all kinds of animals, including elephants! In her free time, Amanda (Morgan) enjoys hanging out with her family including her dogs, Peanut and Chewy.


Karli R. – Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Karli graduated from South Lyon high school and has completed four years so far at Eastern Michigan university. She is still attending school to get her bachelors in Social work and specialize in trauma and PTSD.
Karli enjoys working with animals and being around them. She spends most of her time outdoors and finding new adventures to fill her time. She loves art and music and being around her friends and family. When not at work, she also spends time with her boyfriend, Steven.
Currently, she lives in an eight pet house hold but only has one fur baby of her own named Polly.


Sarah L. – Receptionist

Sarah studied and majored in English at MSU.
She enjoys camping and traveling, mountain biking and watching her three kids (Logan, Lauren and Samantha) participate in their different sports.
Sarah shares her adventures with her family and her pets, Bonnie, Tank and their guinea pig, Buddy.


Chelsea T. – Kennel Assistant

Chelsea has studied Zoology for three years at Northern Michigan University and is still pursuing in Veterinary Technician.
She enjoys working with animals, watching The Office and spending time camping and traveling Michigan’s U.P.
She spends time at home with her three pets.


Annah M. – Veterinary Assistant

Annah has completed two years at Baker College to be a Veterinary Technician, and is working to finish her schooling this spring at Penn Foster to complete her licensing.
In her free time, Annah enjoys spending time with friends and traveling across the U.S.
She has two pets at home, her cats Reggie and Bubba.


Adrienne R. – Veterinary Assistant

Adrienne is currently a pre-vet student, studying at MSU.
Outside of school and work, she enjoys art projects, going to the lake and studying with friends. At home, Adrienne enjoys the company of her dog, Pumpkin, her three guinea pigs and gerbil.


Danielle K. – Receptionist


Danielle completed her four years of high school in Armada. Followed by completing training as a yoga instructor at MI Hot Yoga. She spent five years as a behavior specialist and receptionist at Capital Area Humane Society.
Besides yoga, she also enjoys hiking with her two dogs, Valentine and Lulu and riding her horse, Braveheart. Danielle also likes attending music and art festivals and spending time with her boyfriend, Amar.


Bill – Veterinary / Kennel Assistant

Bill, a loyal member of the HVH family for over eight years, received his Veterinary Technical degree from Wayne State University. Bill is retired from the automotive industry and is an avid NASCAR fan. He is also a world traveler, having visited Alaska, many other states, and even the North Pole!
